The gardening competition is underway for 2016 so dig out your trowel and dust off your wellies – your garden needs you! We’ve got a category for everyone and lots of lovely prizes.

Best Front Garden – Awarded to the best front garden with horticultural displays planted directly into the ground and containers, creating the ‘WOW’ factor.
Best Back Garden – Awarded to the best back garden with horticultural displays planted directly into the ground and containers, creating the ‘WOW’ factor.
Best or ‘Unusual’ Container – Awarded to gardens, balconies, or patios that use containers, including window boxes, hanging baskets, tubs and pots. Also including those that have made use of creative and unusual containers.
Best Courtyard – Awarded to the best overall courtyard display.
Best Community Garden – Awarded to the best communal garden which is maintained by members of a group for all to beneﬁt.
Best Sunﬂower – Awarded to up and coming gardeners under the age of 15, who in a group or individually have grown the best Sunﬂower, or created and cared for a garden/area.
Best Newcomer – Awarded to the best new entry not previously entered into the competition.
Closing date for all entries is Thursday 30 June 2016.
Judging will take place on 19 & 21 July 2016. Our judges will be Frances Hope, Head Gardener at Loftus Garden Village, Lynda Rawlings, member of Charter Board and Mary Edwards, member of Derwen Board. Winners will be notiﬁed by Friday 12 August 2016.
